Learning how to dance is easier than it looks. Yes, it is true that ballroom dancing can be very challenging, being coupled so closely with another human body. However, learning how to dance with a skilled and experienced teacher is the key to success. You need to ensure that you start off on the right foot and develop good habits, so that learning new steps will be easier and more enjoyable, rather than a frustrating process.

At JC Dance Co., we provide a comfortable learning environment for all of our beginner classes. We make sure that the classes are clear, easy-to-follow and fun for everyone. Our emphasis is on the basic fundamentals of movement, musicality and lead-and-follow, so that you can dance with your partner with confidence and ease. Not only will you be in high demand on the dance floor, but you'll look great and have a blast too!

Below you will find 3 different class structures that we offer...

You might notice that we don't offer the regular large-scale "Beginner Group Class". This has been an active decision on our part, as we believe that in order to get a good start on the dance floor, personal attention is essential.  Being packed into a class with anywhere from 40-80 other beginner dancers is not an ideal learning environment, as it doesn't allow you to receive the personal attention that you need to learn how to dance properly.

At JC Dance Co., we believe you deserve more than the "regular" beginner student. You deserve to learn how to dance in a more time and cost-effective way. We keep our class sizes small, so that you can learn faster, more effectively, and most importantly, more enjoyably.

1. Semi-private Lessons:   
   Save money, laugh and learn with your friends!
   
   
   • Dancing  is all about having fun, so why not have fun with a bunch of your friends?  Get a group of friends together and form a semi-private group class, where you can learn and laugh, and save money too!  
     
     
   • We will design the classes to suit your needs. Maybe you'd like a basic intro class covering the Waltz, Cha cha, Social Foxtrot and Jive. Or perhaps you want to learn only the Waltz and become more proficient in that one dance. It's completely up to you.
     
     
   • The pace of learning will be determined by the group. In large classes, people often become bored because the pace of the class is just too slow. At JC Dance Co., there is no need to worry, as we will go at your pace.
     
     
   • Apart from learning fun steps, you will also learn the basics of how to lead and follow, so that switching partners amongst your friends will be fun and easy.
     
     
   • Special Introductory Rate:
     Package of 6 lessons:  3 couples = $15/person/lesson,  4 couples = $12/person/lesson. Please note that packages can be tailored to suit the needs of your group.

2. Private Lessons for Couples: 
   Special attention for just you and your partner!
   
   
   • A Private Lesson is the fastest way for you and your partner to learn and improve. 
     
     
   • You and your partner will have your teacher’s undivided attention, without the distractions of having to cater to other students at the same time. In a Private Lesson, we can give you the personalized attention that you deserve.
     
     
   • The pace of learning will be determined by you and only you. Even in a small group, there are often differences between the amount of coordination, talent and practice that different couples have. Therefore, in a private lesson, the pace will be perfectly suited for you and your partner.
     
     
   • JC Dance Co instructors will be able to dance with you in the private lessons, to give you a better idea of what your dancing is supposed to look and feel like.
      
     
   • Special Introductory Rate:
     Package of 5 lessons: $70x5=$350.

3. Private Lessons for Single Students: 
   Dance with an expert and accelerate your learning!
   
   
   • No dance partner?  No problem!  If you don’t have a partner, but want to learn how to dance, or if you just want to sharpen your skills so that you’ll be a better lead or follow for your partner, this option is perfect for you. 
     
     
   • In your private lessons as a single students, you will learn detailed information, as well as get a 100% hands-on experience dancing with a highly skilled and experienced dance instructor.
     
     
   • Special Introductory Rate:
     Package of 5 lessons: $75x5=$375. Please note that space is limited, and that we may cancel this promotion at any time.
